Tamnavulin Distillery
Tamnavulin is Gaelic translation for ‘mill on the hill’. The distillery is located in the foothills of the Cairngorm mountain range, deep in the heart of Speyside, the most celebrated whisky-producing region in Scotland and where there is an abundance of rich farmland and the ideal place to grow barley and mature whisky.
The distillery opened in 1966 in the rural village of Tomnavoulin, Scotland. It closed in 1995 for major refurbishment and re-opned in 2007.
Since then time-served craftsmen and women of Tamnavulin, who have a passion for whisky and take genuine pride in their skills and the whiskies they make, are experienced distillery workers who have been involved from milling through to maturation.
They have crafted exceptional single malt whisky with a true Speyside character; rich, smooth and mellow.
