Blair Athol Distillery
Sits near the picturesque town of Pitlochry in Perthshire. It was established in 1798 and is one of the oldest working distilleries in Scotland.
Blair Athol’s ancient source of water – the Allt Dour – flows through the grounds from the slopes of Ben Vrackie, contributing to the whisky’s, mellow quality and smooth finish.
It was purchased by Athur Bell & Sons in 1933, where productions of Bell’s Whisky commenced in 1949 with water sourced from the Allt Dour Burn expanding in 1973 adding two new stills.
The Visitor Centre was built in 1987 allowing people to learn about the production of whisky and the history.
