Inchgower Distillery
Is located just outside the fishing port of Buckie, Moray in Scotland. It was built in 1871 by Alexander Wilson then taken over by Buckie Council, when the Wilson family went bankrupt in 1936 and was one of the few councils to own a distillery.
After a couple of years it was bought by Arthur Bell & Sons Ltd in 1938 for £3000.00 whose logo is still used to advertise the distillery.
In 1987 it became part of Diageo-DCL.
The distillations of Inchgower contribute a major component of Bell’s blended whisky.
The Inchgower takes its water from a burn rising in the Menduff Hills to the south of Buckie.
