Ben Nevis Distillery
Was established in 1825 and one of the oldest licensed distilleries in Scotland.
It can be found at the bottom of Ben Nevis, Britain’s highest mountain. It has a summit elevation of 4’406 feet above sea level.
An amazing background setting for a distillery.
Within the distillery there is a tour of The Legend of the Dew of Ben Nevis Visitor centre. Built into an old bottling warehouse dating back to 1862 with some of its original features. You will have the opportunity to experience an audio visual presentation where the mythical giant Hector McDram will reveal the Legend of the Dew of Ben Nevis followed with a complimentary ‘tasting’.
After the distillery tour you can relax in the coffee shop or restaurant.
Douglas Laing & Co Ltd
Was established in 1948 by Fred Douglas Laing. It has been a proudly independent family owned Scotch Whisky business for over 65 years.
They believe not adding any colouring or chill filtering their spirits and allow the naturally present oils, fats and enzymes in the whisky to make their own special contribution to its nose, mouthfeel, palate and finish.
